  • We have secured group rates with Air Canada Travel for January 2 - January 9, 2026. For more information, please view our travel page.

  • The deadline to secure your spot in our travel group is March 26, 2025.

    To secure your spot, a non-refundable deposit of $200 CAD per person, including children 2+ of age, is due at time of booking.

  • Rates for our reserved rooms are as follows:

    Single Occupancy: $3039
    Double Occupancy: $2418
    Triple Occupancy: $2337
    Child Aged 2: $940
    Child Aged 3-12: $1627

    This cost includes air fare (departing from Toronto), all-inclusive accommodations, shuttle to and from the Cancun airport, and taxes. Please see our travel page for more trip information.

  • Connectors are available from Sault Ste Marie to Toronto and return. The cost per person round trip is $140 CAD.

    Please advise at time of booking if you would like a connector added, or get in touch with our Travel Agent Kim Machan at kim@essenceofromancetravel.com if you need to make alternate or additional travel plans. Please keep in mind that changes to trip details will impact the travel rate.

  • The weather in Riviera Maya in January will be warm but stable, the humidity less intense, and the nights pleasantly balmy. Expect average daily temperatures of 23°C - 28°C.

  • Summer Formal Attire: dress your best and prepare for warm weather! No shorts, t-shirts, jeans or flip flops.

  • As we want to keep this celebration intimate, we ask that guests respect the names on the invitation. If you have additional questions regarding this, please reach out to Angela or Jonathan.

  • While we love your little ones, we’ve chosen to keep our wedding ceremony and reception an adults-only (18+) celebration, with the exception of our beloved flower girl and ring bearer. However, the resort is family-friendly, and we’d love for your kids to enjoy the trip with you if you choose to bring them!

  • The ceremony will be unplugged. Please do not take your phones out for photos or other reasons during the ceremony. Only the photographer will be permitted to take photos during the ceremony to decrease possible distractions.

    After the ceremony: of course you can! Please be mindful that we have hired a photographer, so try not to use flash right next to them. If you post anything, please don't forget to tag us and include the hashtag #simondssaysido

  • We do not have a gift registry because we are extremely lucky to have love, laughter, and a house full of furniture (and very little storage). Your presence at our wedding is the best possible gift we could ask for.
